How much does it cost?
I am always happy to negotiate on costs as some artworks can be simple and take no time to complete, others will be more complex and involve more time and effort to get perfect for your unique artwork. I also bill the artwork and printing separately to give you the freedom to print yourself, however I do offer these services (please see below). PET ARTWORK:
Each Pet: $40 AUD
Please note: Pets are normally cats + dogs and this is what I have based the above pricing on. However I love animals of all shapes and sizes so if your pet is a bit different just contact me and I can discuss pricing further with you.
SINGLE AND GROUP ARTWORK:
Single Portrait (Adults or Children): $60 AUD
Family/Group/Couple:
First Couple (2 Adults, 1 Adult/1 Child, 2 Children): $100.00 AUD
Additional Adult: + $35 AUD Each
Additional Child: + $25 AUD Each
Additional Pets: + $15 AUD Each
Rush-Service Fee (Completion of artwork within a week or past cut off date for peak/busy periods):
$50 AUD additional fee to artwork cost.
Consultation/Rough Sketch: Free! I will happily provide you with a sketch before money changes hands so you know what you are paying for.
Printing+Postage: Currently I am only providing printing services Australia only, as currently this is where I am getting all my orders.. I do plan to extend my services to International, and will advise when this has happened.

These prices are base artwork only, all full resolution digital copies with subtle DLouiseART watermark provided upon completion. Size will be large enough to print on up ton A3 size unless required larger, additional costs may incur for larger sizing. Prices do not include printing costs, printing/delivery service fee or delivery costs. You can save by printing the artwork yourself, or coming to collect the artwork if you are local in WA.

I can also do artwork that is non portrait based, such as character and creature design and fan art work of TV, Movie, Games, Celebrities ect. If this is what you are after please contact me to discuss further for pricing.

How and when can I pay?
To keep payments secure and fair for both parties I accept payment via PayPal and Bank Transfer. If you have a valid Paypal account or email address I can organise payment during the consulting process. I will only accept payment upfront after I have done a black + white sketch and before the coloured artwork commences. I am also happy to take the artwork fee to begin the process, and printing/delivery costs with a seperate payment if necessary.

If I change my mind, can I get a refund?
If there are any issues with the artwork or problems with the deadline then a fair refund can be issued. Please keep in mind my work is time consuming so a refund will be determined based on which stage of the process the refund is requested:
Before Artwork Commences: Full refund (I will wait a full 24 hours after payment is received to begin)
During Artwork Creation: 50% refund on artwork fee, 100% refund on printing/delivery costs
After Artwork Completion: No Refund on artwork fee, 100% refund on printing/delivery costs
After Artwork Print and Handover/Delivery: No Refund

How long does it take?
This all depends on when you need it by! I prioritise my work around the due-date, so I will absolutely need to know if this artwork is for a special event such as a Birthday, Graduation, Wedding ect. You let me know when you need it by and I will make it happen. Rush orders (completion within one week) will incur and extra $50 to compensate the overtime required to complete on short notice.
If you aren’t getting the gift for a special occasion and you are not working with a deadline in mind then I will aim to complete your artwork from start to finish about 10-14 business days (not including delivery times).
Please note that special holidays such as Christmas, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day get extremely busy and will be on a first come, first serve basis. I will also take a limited number of orders for these occasions to keep it fair for everyone, and will announce the waiting list with plenty of time before the event.

What do I have to provide?
What I need from yourself during the consult is a general idea of what your family member, friend, partner, or pet is like. I will discuss this all with you in the consult stage along with options for payment, print and delivery. I do this to make sure that both of us are happy before any money changes hands.
Things to think about when describing your loved one to me:
– Do they have any interest or hobbies, or play any sports?
– Is there a special occasion you would like to remind them of such as a performance, engagement, wedding, costume, achievements ect.
– What do they do for work? Is it something that they enjoy and would you like this to be displayed?
– Do they have a pet?
– If the picture is for a child, do they have a favourite superhero or something they would like to be when they grow up?

To get a good idea of what your family member, friend or pet looks like I will need to see a few photos.
A couple of tips to ensure I can create the best likeliness for your loved one:
– Good resolution, easy to see and not blurry or very small pictures.
– Good lighting, please no photos of someone in a very dark room if possible as I won’t be able to get an idea of what they really look like.
– If you have a handful of photos you can send, and from different angles so I can better understand their facial expressions and quirks. One photo sometimes doesn’t really show the features you would like me to portray. The more photos the better!
– If you would like to show their interests such as musical instruments, a pet, or other hobbies please send me photos of these as well. The more personal the picture, the better the impact on reveal! There may sometimes be an extra fee involved with drawing a hobby into the picture, I am happy to discuss the details with you.

Can I ask to see the artwork before it is done?
Of course! Unless there are any issues I generally won’t make contact between the sketch and final picture unless requested to because I will be very busy creating your special gift. However if you would like to see how it is going or you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact me. I understand that you will know this person or pet a lot better than me, and sometimes there can be small details that a photo just won’t show. I am always happy to listen to your feedback and guidance to make sure that this gift really looks like the person it is for. After the artwork is complete I can still make small alterations if required.

When will I get to see the final artwork?
Unless you ask me not to (as I understand sometimes you would like it to be surprise yourself) I will contact you will the final artwork when it is ready for digital collection or print. That way if there are any small alterations to make I can do these for you and then order your artwork to be printed and/or delivered.

What printing and delivery options do I have?
All artworks can be supplied as digital copies upon completion. Your options for digital collection can be discussed in the consult stage. I also will offer to print your gift on your behalf and can arrange for delivery as well. Please view my prices HERE
